Eight-year-old Mabel, who plays the recorder, and Harriet (11), whose instrument of choice is the flute, have both recently had success at the Ayrshire Music Festival.Mabel won the class three category in the woodwind section of the competition.This follows her success in the recorder competition two years ago when she was just six.While older sister Harriet won the class five flute contest.They are at an equivalent lever to Standard Grade and Higher, respectively.
