Reasons for home educating may offer some insight.
Schools are seen as outdated institutions & unsafe spaces that fail to meet needs & penalise parents for prioritising children's health, safety & wellbeing. Enforcing state outcomes at the expense of rights is not education.

@severnaya66 @MorrisonBeth @fatbadger442 Nothing has riled me more over the years than listening to crap from 'professionals' at case conferences who don't even know the families they're judging. Govt policy has encouraged power-over relationships, parental disempowerment and toxic #GIRFEC gang culture. #UNCRC anyone?

@Leahurst66 @MorrisonBeth A tiny number of volunteer advocates are fighting a culture of routine abuse of the law, across children's services in Scotland. #girfec must go & a public enquiry launched into how it has been allowed to happen. Adamson fought to block it; will @NicolaKillean @cypcs change tack?
